Chess is the epitome of the promotion of white privilege. Chess guarantees the supremacy of white characters. Chess is nothing other than the war of aggression of white against all other colored pieces on the board. White draws first blood. White has the rules of conflict on his side: if Black draws first, White automatically wins. The dust of history is only well visible on dark pieces. White shines. Always. White consistently wins slightly more often than black, usually scoring between 52 and 56 percent.
Is this a message you would like to convey to your children? That white may, indeed must, start every conflict? That it must have inherent, systemic advantages just to make it a game according to the rules? That this must be considered fair? That there are formalized systems like ELO ratings that cement the systemic advantage of your – exclusively – white team as the value of your mental strength?
